UX Designer (Unpaid)

Position Overview:

As the UX Designer, you will be responsible for organizing and refining our website, ensuring it is intuitive, visually engaging, and functional. You will also integrate tools such as Google Forms/Sheets for efficient data collection and processing and SEO when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website Cleanup:

  • Organize and enhance the layout and navigation for better usability.

  • Create clean and modern designs, including tabs and pages.

  • Ensure the website is responsive across all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).

2. Data Integration:

  • Connect Google Forms to the website for data collection.

  • Link Google Sheets to collect and organize information automatically.

3. User Experience Optimization:

  • Improve the overall user flow and ensure visitors can easily find relevant information.

  • Conduct usability testing to ensure the website meets user needs.

  • Suggest and implement visual improvements aligned with branding.

4. Content Updates:

  • Optimize or organize existing content to ensure clarity and consistency.

  • Ensure that new and existing content is visually appealing.

5. Technical and Maintenance Support:

  • Ensure all features, integrations, and design elements work seamlessly.

  • Provide recommendations for long-term website improvements.

Time Commitment: 5-6 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in UX design, particularly with Squarespace websites.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability to organize and improve website designs.

  • Proficiency in integrating tools like Google Forms and Google Sheets.

  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles.

  • Knowledge of web design best practices and responsive design.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with data collection and organization processes is a plus.

  • Someone creative and detail-oriented who can bring fresh ideas to our existing website.

  • A self-starter who can work independently while keeping us informed throughout the process.

  • A UX expert who can balance aesthetics with functionality.
