Financial Analyst

Position Overview:
The Financial Analyst will support InventHER’s financial strategy by executing key financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Financial Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring financial transparency, analyzing financial data, and supporting fundraising efforts. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong analytical mindset and an interest in nonprofit finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports, including budget vs. actual analysis, expense tracking, and financial summaries for stakeholders.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the CFO in developing financial models and forecasts to guide organizational decision-making.

  • Fundraising Support: Assist in financial tracking for grants, donations, and fundraising efforts to ensure compliance and effective resource allocation.

  • Grant & Compliance Management: Work with the CFO to track grant funding, monitor expenditures, and ensure financial compliance with donor requirements.

  • Data Management: Maintain financial records, organize donor and grant databases, and generate reports to support transparency and accountability.

  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements in financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Time Commitment: 

5-8 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (nonprofit experience a plus).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and data analysis.

  • Proficiency in financial software, spreadsheets, and data visualization tools.

  • Excellent communication skills to present financial information clearly

  • Ability to work collaboratively and support fundraising and grant management efforts.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
