Chief Marketing Officer (Unpaid)

Position Overview:
The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will lead InventHER’s brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and audience engagement efforts to drive awareness, growth, and impact. Working closely with leadership, the CMO will develop and execute creative marketing strategies that amplify our mission, expand our reach, and strengthen our community. We’re looking for an innovative and results-driven leader with experience in branding, digital marketing, content creation, and strategic communications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy: Define and implement a cohesive brand identity that reflects InventHER’s mission and values.

  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute multi-channel marketing initiatives to drive engagement and growth.

  • Content & Storytelling: Oversee the creation of compelling content across digital platforms, social media, and newsletters.

  • Community Engagement: Build and strengthen relationships with our audience through innovative outreach efforts.

  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with external organizations, influencers, and media outlets to expand visibility.

  • Digital & Social Strategy: Manage website, social media, and email marketing to maximize impact and outreach.

  • Analytics & Optimization: Track marketing performance metrics and use data-driven insights to refine strategies.

  • Event Promotion: Lead promotional efforts for InventHER events, workshops, and initiatives.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with leadership and other teams to align marketing with organizational goals.

Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, brand management, communications, or a related field.

  • Strong commitment to gender equity and women’s empowerment, with knowledge of key issues.

  • Proven ability to create and execute marketing campaigns that drive engagement and growth.

  • Experience with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management.

  • Excellent storytelling, writing, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
